Sakhuu Express Opens For Business

Fast take on the traditional favorites

DALLAS —The wait is over. Popular Thai restaurant Sakhuu debuts its take-out and delivery-only venue, Sakhuu Express.

“We know not everyone can take 45 or even 30 minutes to dine out,” Sakhuu Chef and Partner Kyla Phomsavanh said. “Hopefully, this is a way for them to enjoy what we offer in the comfort of their home or work.”

Serving a fusion of Thai and Chinese cuisine, the Express branch menu offers a variety popular Sakhuu dishes along with new twists on traditional Chinese cuisine. Popular items like Pad Thai and the famous Stuffed Chicken Wings will remain on the menu next to new creations like Sunshine Chicken.

“Dining at Sakhuu is about the noise, the company you’re with, the staff and a great meal,” frequent patron Brian Carpenter said. “Conversely, Sakhuu Express is take out—a way to get a quality meal at a good price, without all the luxury that comes with a sit down dining experience.”

Located on 5200 Lemon Ave between Inwood Road and Dallas North Tollway, guests can call ahead of time at 214-520-6868. An online ordering option will be available soon.

I’ve eaten at their “home base” restaurant since they first opened and always enjoyed it.

As I was in the neighborhood and it’s close to my home, I stopped by their Sakhuu Express take out on Lemmon Avenue today.

The owners were there and remembered me. I received a hearty and warm welcome.

The food was delicious! Of course, I just had to have their signature “stuffed chicken wings”. ($8.00) Cooked to order, they were every bit as good as at their Bryan Street restaurant.

While there, a gentleman was eating a dish called Empress Shrimp ($12.00) with rice. I swear the shrimp were the size of my fist. He said it was delicious!

I’ll order that shrimp dish next.
